Every person is a combination of four varying personality types. The type in which you score the highest is your "dominant" personality type. We also have a second or sub-dominant behavior type that influences our natural inclinations and tendencies as well. As we learn the strengths and weaknesses of our own personality and others we work with, we can with a reasonable effort, become better at communication and doing business with the different, but important people in our work and private lives.
It is extremely important that you take the test before you read about each type so your knowledge of the personality types won’t influence your answers and subsequently invalidate the test. The personality assessment will take you less than five minutes to complete. You can not fail this test. There are not right or wrong answers, but you will be able to identify your natural personality inclinations and strengths. Be honest as you rate each response to each word. You will discover both your dominant and sub-dominant personality type.
Remember, understanding personality is a strategy that enables you to:1. Capitalize on your personal behavior and personality strengths.2. Reveal and clarify your inherent weaknesses.3. As you learn the personality types of yours spouse, children, coworkers, employees and supervisors, you will have a much greater understanding and appreciation of who they are and how to interact with them for a more positivecommunication experience.4. More effectively communicate, delegate, motivate and encourage people.5. Reduce stress, enjoy life and be more productive.
On the test there is a chart of ten horizontal lines with four words on each line, one in each column. Put the number 4 in the box next to the word that best describes you in that line. Then put a 3 in the box next to the word that describes you next best, a 2 by the third best word, and a 1 by the word that least describes you. On each horizontal line of words you will then have one 4, one 3, one 2, and one 1.
Do not put more than one of any number on any horizontal line of words.
